There was a mixed reaction to Saturday night’s Tommy Tiernan Show, when the guests were Irish Paralympian Peter Ryan, poet John Cooper Clarke, and psychologist and musician Louize Carroll. Some viewers took to social media to praise the “genuine warmth” of Tommy’s interviewing style, and said the show was getting “better and better” each week.

However, others complained that there had been “some boring people” on the show recently, criticised the host for being “sex mad”, and suggested the programme had become “stuck up its own arse”. It comes as the latest figures from RTE show that the Tommy Tiernan show haemorrhaged viewers earlier this month, when the audience plummeted by 23,000 from 412,00
