She shot to stardom in the 1990s after her cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U and the Irish Times first published news of her death on Wednesday evening, July 26.Her death comes a year after her son Shane died. The 17 year old took his own life in January 2022 after escaping hospital while on suicide watch.
