It was because of the visuals. We came to endgame for the years of story and buildup but most went to avatar because of the visuals. Avatar is the movie version of a roller coaster.

I liked End Game much more but while Avatar's rerelease is definitely cheating End Game cheated first by rereleasing the movie at the end of it's run with like 10 minutes of extra footage just so it could surpass Avatar. Just calling it like I see it!
