CEBU CITY – A former television host who belongs to the LGBTQ community was heavily criticized for his alleged rash behavior inside a restaurant here on Sunday night, July 21.

Jude Bacalso has since apologized for the incident that saw him admonish a server of Ulli’s Restuarant for supposed misgendering after he was called “sir.”

Calderon narrated that he was with his mother when he saw an employee “doing parade rest since 6 p.m.” Calderon said he asked Bacalso to explain what was happening. He also asked Bacalso if he was owner or just a customer. “At that time, naay customers dining in and clearly saw that this server was standing for 2 hours but no one was even curious to know why and what happened. The other employees sa Ulli’s already tried to console in behalf sa server but this guy Jude won’t leave the server because of the sole reason that the server misgendered the guy Jude Bacalso,” said Calderon.Bacalso was supposedly heard telling the server: “Aw you will be standing there until makatubag ka sa akong pangutana .

Some comments in Calderon’s post came from people who narrated their own supposed bad experience with Bacalso.“Rest assured we are educating our people and placing their welfare of utmost priority. Likewise, we express our apologies to our guests. Your concerns are well noted and will help us move forward towards a better customer experience,” a part of Ulli’s first statement said.
