The motorsport community is in mourning after the death of Lizzy Musi, aged 33. Musi died on Thursday after a year-long battle with breast cancer. The American was a professional drag race driver and rose to fame as a cast member of Discovery Channel’s TV show “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings”. Musi’s father Pat confirmed her death with a post on Facebook. “Surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight.
Musi was a longtime drag racer, who rose to prominence in 2014 when she became the first woman to win a Pro Nitrous national event at the Professional Drag Racers Association US Drags at Virginia Motorsports Park. In 2019, she appeared on “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” where she became not only the first female driver to win an event, but also the first driver to take three consecutive victories.
