'It's derogatory to think taking this down is going to solve the problem.' BlueStar actor ViczOfficial says the decision for cinemas to pull the film is 'derogatory' as the societal problem is much deeper than any film or music. Full story here:

Seven police officers were injured in the mass brawl, which was thought to involve 100 people close to the Vue cinema, and five teenagers were arrested - including a 13-year-old girl.

In a statement, a spokesman said:"We took the decision to temporarily suspend screenings of Blue Story to enable us to assess the situation. "We want to reassure our guests that their safety - and that of our staff members - is our absolute priority." West Midlands Police says it made no recommendations about pulling the film to Vue, following Saturday's violence.

ViczOfficial Bloody fool

ViczOfficial The film is called BLUE STORY not Blue Star.

BBC-backed gang film Blue Story banned from Vue cinemas after mass brawl outside screeningBlue Story, a BBC-backed gang film, has been banned from Vue cinemas following a mass brawl involving youths armed with knives and machetes outside a screening in Birmingham. The price of Austerity... Very sad reflection of Tory Britain... VoteLabour2019 ✌ ❤ Our licence fee now pays for gang violence too! Having watched the trailer I can see why it's been so influencing. I recall coming out of the Cinema as an 18yr old wanting to be Bruce Lee with my chums... We sometimes forget as film makers what influence we have.

'Institutionally racist': Blue Story ban faces backlashTwo cinema chains pull the film after a fight broke out at a Vue cinema in Birmingham on Saturday. I really want to see this movie now!! Rubbish. It may not be the right decision but it has everything to do with violence & safety. Nothing to do with racism. You’re classed as racist nowadays if you prefer white chocolate rather than dark.
