VUE state the film opened across 60 sites and within 24hrs '25 significant incidents were reported...in 16 separate cinemas'. VUE acted on safety grounds alone. There would have been hell to pay for VUE if the incidents had continued and god forbid someone had been killed.

I can't see how the claims of racism stack up. For starters, the majority of those fighting with machetes were young Iraqis, not black African or West Indian. Even if they were it's about the film content not the colour of the actors' skin.
