As I read this article I had to laugh! When SNL first aired I was a very young person. I LOVED the show, my parents couldn’t see the humor in it. Now I am old and the show doesn’t seem funny to me. I’m now my parents...jokes on me 😂😂
What's SNL?
Everyone has their idea of humor based on your age and the state of the world at that time. The youth of today cannot relate to the humor of 40 plus years ago. Just as the elders of today cannot relate to today's comedy. Different times mean different things.

The show was pure genius when it started way back when.
It stopped being funny after Bill Hader, Kristen Wigg, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg and Amy Poehler were all gone. Now It’s just a bunch of unfunny people overacting their characters while staring at and reading off cue cards

i read the article. Chevy is completely correct. here's what we're up against - i sometimes watch Bill Maher's Real Time. invariably, when Bill curses, the audience responds with a huge laugh. for what? it's just "bad words" - not a witty bon-mot or pun. nothing clever.
