Summary New images from Netflix’s forthcoming comedy Kaos provide a fresh look at Jeff Goldblum’s King of the Gods. Created by The End of the F***ing World’s Charlie Covell, Kaos sees Goldblum assume the role of the Ancient Greek god Zeus, King of the Olympians, in a dark comedy set in modern times. Originally set to be played by Hugh Grant, Goldblum later stepped in to replace the iconic British actor due to scheduling issues that prevented his involvement.
Other images also reveal Janet McTeer as Hera, and Nabhaan Rizwan as their flamboyant son Dionysus. The final image also shows Killian Scott’s Orpheus with Aurora Perrineau’s Riddy, whose moniker is likely a contraction of the tragic mythological figure Eurydice. Yet, Goldblum’s foray into the world of Ancient Greek mythology seems like a perfect opportunity for Covell to capitalize on the actor’s immutable charm and impeccable comedic sensibilities. Well known in the original Greek mythology for his exceedingly fickle nature, and often callous disregard for mortal kind, the King of Olympus almost seems like a role that is tailor-made for Goldblum.
