Country singer Willie Nelson missed another Outlaw Music Festival tour date due to illness

Willie Nelson performs at Farm Aid 30 in Chicago on Sept. 19, 2015. Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic will be held at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, N. J. Country music legend Willie Nelson missed another tour date for the Outlaw Music Festival after having missed the first three performances last week on doctor’s orders.

Last Friday, his team informed fans via social media that Mr. Nelson was “not feeling well” and had been advised to continue resting in order to recover. The post did not say why Mr. Nelson was under the weather, but said he was expected to join the tour this week. Mr. Nelson’s son Lukas Nelson and the Nelson Family Band have filled in in Willie’s place, playing their own set including some of his biggest hits, Nelson representatives posted on social media.
