'We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, per doctor's orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days. He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week,' according to a statement posted Friday on Nelson's social media pages. The tour opened Friday at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Mapping the music icon's legacy across the state Filling in for Nelson is his son Lukas and Nelson's touring band. Following this weekend, the next stops on the tour are Wednesday at Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Friday at Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview in Syracuse, New York. There are 26 stops on the tour, which is scheduled to end Sept. 26.

Most of the concerts will be played in the Northeast, Midwest and in California. Nelson's iconic Fourth of July Picnic also won't take place in Texas for the first time since 2009.
For first time in 15 years, Willie Nelson's annual 4th of July Picnic won't be in Texas Nelson, who turned 91 in April, released his 75th studio album 'The Border' in May. If accounting for live albums and collaborations, it would make album No. 152. The 10-song album is the fourth solo studio release by Nelson since April 2022.
