There is hope a Perth father left fighting for life in hospital following a traumatic bike crash could leave intensive care on Tuesday. Success mechanic Brad Carwardine, 37, suffered catastrophic injuries when he lost control of his Honda motorcycle and struck a pole along Russell Rd in Wattelup on June 1. His injuries included a brain bleed, facial fractures, two collapsed lungs, broken ribs and a shattered pelvis.
” Carwardine had been hoping to play it safe and beat the winter rain when he and a friend went for a ride, as they had done countless times before. The father of five, an experienced rider who has been around bikes all his life, was critically injured about 8pm. Mills said she raced to the scene after receiving the call about what had unfolded just two minutes from their home. “It was absolutely horrifying. Your whole world just falls around you,” she said.
