2024 is proving to be a busy year for Mitsubishi Motors Philippines . There’s the XForce that’s coming next month, along with a shipment of new Montero Sport SUVs. And let’s not forget that it launched the redesigned Triton earlier this year.
Now, it appears that there’s yet another model on the way. It’s none other than the redesigned Mitsubishi Outlander. There, it showed that it will launch an ‘all-new model 2’ before the end of 2024 along with appeared a ‘new-gen Mid-SUV’ in 2025 or beyond.
It now seems to be the case based on recent Memorandum Circulars published by the Land Transportation Office . There, the LTO has approved the local homologation for redesigned Outlander.The document supports the fact that it’s the fourth-generation model. For starters, the length mentioned, 470.9 cm, lines up with the official spec sheet that says 4,709mm. The same goes for its width and height, we well as the wheelbase.
It appears that there will be two variants of the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander to be offered in the country. Per the documents, it’s either the SEL Premium or SEL Touring. Curiously, the variant names are from the North American market models. Both these variants come with just one powertrain option, namely the 2.4-liter plug-in hybrid. Its twin-motor setup gives it all-wheel drive and a combined output of 248hp and 451Nm of torque.
