Loose Women's Katie Piper cancels show to undergo 'unexpected' procedure

Katie Piper pulled out of today’s breakfast show at the last minute Katie Piper pulled out of her ITV breakfast show this morning to undergo an ‘unexpected medical procedure’. The Loose Women star was due to front Katie Piper’s Breakfast Show this morning, but Charlotte Hawkins had to step in at the last minute. Taking to social media to explain her absence, Katie wrote: ‘Sadly I’m not going to be on my breakfast show this weekend as I’ve had to have an unexpected medical procedure.

While she has not given any further details about the unplanned procedure, Katie underwent eye surgery in December. She explained how her eye was being semi-permanently closed to ‘preserve the eye, avoid perforation and losing my eye completely.’ Speaking on Loose Women in December, Katie explained how the eye procedure is called a tarsorrhaphy.
