Joanna Orland is a pop culture journalist and award-winning sound designer for video games. Her career in the Games Industry began in 2005 at EA Criterion. She later worked in the Creative Services Group at Sony Interactive Entertainment. She’s lived in both Toronto and London and feels at home in both cities. She’s held a number of jobs in the creative industries, including an internship at soap opera, and a position as Front Of House staff at the Toronto International Film Festival.
and has been the primary producer and writer there since 2005. Through Loose Lips, she regularly covers film events, including festivals such as TIFF, Cannes, Venice, Berlinale and the BFI London Film Festival. She’s written numerous reviews, covered tons of red carpets, conducted many interviews, and is now expanding her work as a Features Writer at Collider.Joanna has a BAA in Radio & Television Arts, and an MA in Audio Production.
