Aussie actress Isla Fisher is reportedly using the trauma from her shock split from Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen to “inspire” her new movie role as a single mother.
The fourth film in the franchise will chronicle Bridget’s journey as a “single mother” and widow following the death of her love interest Mark Darcy sometime after the events of the third film released in 2016. “Isla loves Bridget Jones and is thrilled that she landed the part. Her own experience will help her in the role and it’s great she’s landed such a big part after a really tough time.”
Fisher and Baron Cohen confirmed in April they were going their separate ways after 13 years of marriage, revealing they had officially filed for divorce last year."After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down," the couple announced in a joint statement via Instagram.
