Veteran rugby league journalist Paul Kent has been charged with affray over an incident outside a popular Sydney restaurant. Kent and another man were involved in a heated scuffle outside Totti’s in Rozelle on the weekend, with a video of the incident quickly going viral.

Paul Kent stood down after viral fight. The pair are seen arguing with other patrons, and security attempting to intervene. The argument ends up turning physical before the video ends with Kent being flung upside down into a tree. Kent presented at Newtorn Police Station on Wednesday where he was formally charged with affray. The 54-year-old was granted bail and will appear in court on May 24, the police confirmed in a statement. The other man, a 35-year-old, was also charged with affray.
