The music festival La Semana Alegre is singing once again after nearly 30 years away. Those in charge say it’s time for the festival to return because of the space Hemisfair has to host an event like the festival, and all of the upgrades officials made when it comes to safety.
The official event was stopped after getting a little too rowdy. Hemisfair came in years later to revitalize it and build it up to what it is in 2024. “Just being back for the reinauguration of La Semana Alegre is such an honor,” Chesca Umeno with Mypilotis said.
