Hawthorn livewire Jack Ginnivan has found himself at the centre of another controversial umpiring decision. The polarising Hawk was bowled over by Mac Andrew during the first quarter of Saturday night’s clash between Gold Coast and Hawthorn.
Ginnivan bowled over by Andrew. It was right in front of the umpire, but no free kick was paid with the umpire “making the flop symbol”. Former Hawthorn and Gold Coast tough nut Campbell Brown was shocked by the decision and said the umpires didn’t pay a free kick because it was Ginnivan. “That happened right in front of me. That is a free kick every single day of the week to Jack Ginnivan,” Brown said on Channel 7.
