Dua Lipa was photographed at brunch with Pedro Almodóvar, Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore. This is what And Just Like That should have looked like.

Dua Lipa has taken a number of visible steps to courting the Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar. There was a brief cameo in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie film – which felt a little Almodóvarian in its use of excess and camp theatrics – and there was this video of her speaking Spanish in the backseat of a taxi, and the time she laid bare her motivations to become “an Almodóvar girl” to the Spanish news website El Español back in March.

Lipa wore a spring/summer 1994 Vivienne Westwood shirt dress, striped and ruched at all the correct contours, and sourced via Studded Petals Vintage. The foursome looked like they were recreating a scene from Sex and the City wherein Samantha – in this case probably Pedro? – would make a joke about doing kegel exercises over some eggs benedict.
