Writer and director Jenny Curtis is set to work on her newest project Tonnta, a dark-comedy that explores themes of family, community, and forgiveness against the backdrop of Northern Ireland's North Coast. The film tells the story of a young surfer who defies her parents' wishes to participate in a local surfing festival with the help of her estranged brother.

A Northern Irish director is set to showcase the magic of the North Coast in a new short film about surfing. Writer and director Jenny Curtis is "so excited" to get to work on her newest project Tonnta, a dark-comedy that looks at the themes of family, community, finding solace in nature and forgiveness on the backdrop of one of NI's most beautiful locations.

Tonnta is a coming-of-age story about a young surfer who defies her parents’ wishes by accepting guidance from her estranged, former drug-abusing brother to take part in a local surfing festival, The Tonnta
