Lady Rose Hanbury has denied having an affair with Prince William. The rumours resurfaced as people questioned the whereabouts of William’s wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, who had not been spotted in public between December 25 and March 4.

It was known she underwent abdominal surgery, however, the lack of details and proof of her welfare sent the internet into a spin of conspiracy theories. Some theories brought Hanbury, also known as the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, back into the picture five years after William’s lawyers first denied the affair. Hanbury has since reportedly stated the rumours are “completely false,” via her lawyers to Business Insider.
