A man found “slumped” in a parked car has been arrested after allegedly pulling a gun on police on the Gold Coast. Officers were responding to reports of “a man slumped in a parked car” on Karen Ave at Mermaid Beach about 6.20am on Tuesday.
The officers were still in their police car when the man got out of the car and allegedly “made threats towards police with a firearm”, police said. They negotiated with the man before taking him into custody. Police are investigating and no charges have been laid. Police have taped off the scene.
