A top sheriff was caught making sexual remarks about a porn film while he was training fellow judges during an online video conference.

When three JPs logged back into the training call early, Duff was heard to say: “Do you like to see a wee one struggling, school shoes, white socks, cotton panties?”Uttering a racist term, Duff also said: “Wee p**i. Lucky c**t”.”Police searched Duff’s home and examined electronic devices but “nothing illegal” was found on them, fiscal depute Michael McIntosh told the court.

The man had been watching a porn film while on a call to Duff which involved an adult male and female, Mr McIntosh added.Duff appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday and pled guilty to conducting himself in a disorderly manner and, while connected via WebEx to an electronic meeting uttered sexual remarks and a racist remark on October 26 2021. Duff admitted thereby placing other participants in the meeting in a state of fear or alarm and committing a breach of the peace.
