Justice Musa Dattijo retired from the Supreme Court bench last week upon clocking the mandatory retirement age of 70 years.

Justice Dattijo last week raised the alarm that there is enormous concentration of powers in the Chief Justice of Nigeria, being the chairman of various key bodies in the judiciary like the NJC, FJSC, NJI, LPPC, etc. How do you react to this? How do react to Dattijo’s criticism of the Supreme Court panel that considered the multiple appeals challenging President Tinubu’s electoral victory?

Is it the law that the deputy chairman of the NJC should be consulted by the CJN who is the chairman, before decisions are taken?
