The social media star turned broadcaster has said he won't touch a drink during its six week run as he and his co-presenter Johnny Smacks balance the show with daily radio and their two podcasts.
RTÉ has had a lot of Dublin presenters on screen before, but The 2 Johnnies are proud GAA and “culchie” men. This has come with some snobbery and one particularly nasty comment sticks out. "I thought that was the most horrible comment I have ever seen. Is that what we have become as a nation that we are too good to work in factories?
Johnny Smacks said: "That is where most of the ideas come from. You spend three hours stuck on the M50, pure magic. Johnny has the laptop out, and I drive and we come up with ideas and build segments."Johnny Smacks went on: "See if I was on my own I think I'd get frustrated but the fact that the two of us are there, we just have the craic. Some of our songs have been written on journeys in the car.
