A Facebook marketplace exchange has taken a violent turn in inner Melbourne after a complaint about a dodgy phone sale turned into an attack. On Monday a man, aged 27, met with a teenager seller in Richmond to buy an iPhone for $1700.
Melbourne man attacked after Facebook Marketplace exchange. However, when the man arrived home he discovered the phone was fake. The man, along with two friends, decided to confront the teenager, tricking him into getting inside their car. “We told him that we don’t want to spoil your life by going to the police station, we just want our money back,” the buyer’s friend told 7NEWS. After a dispute lasting 45 minutes, a tussle ensued.
