Strictly Come Dancing fans were left surprised by the results of the first elimination after noticing something different about the way the public voted this year.

Strictly viewers widely agreed that the TV presenter's dancing skills were not up to scratch - but many were surprised to see him leave the competition so early on. Many pointed out that previous series have seen celebrity dancers stay in much longer purely because they are entertaining to watch. @AmyJoSays commented: "Les Dennis in the bottom two!? Are you telling me the British public actually voting based on dancing talent rather than popularity/entertainment for once?" @john__eldon wrote: "Interesting.
