As Chronicle Live reports, this leak comes just days after sources claimed BBC bosses were determined to find the ‘mole’ who leaks the information every week. Strictly airs its Saturday show live, but the results show, which airs for viewers on a Sunday evening, is recorded after the main show on Saturday evening.
Last year, judge Anton Du Beke accused the mole of 'ruining' the show for everyone as other fans once again called on the BBC to do the results live, to put an end to any potential leaks. The Strictly leaderboard yesterday on September 30 was headed up by Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, after the hotly tipped couple scored 36 out of 40 for their fantastic Quickstep.
A number of so-called spoilers did appear on X, formerly known as Twitter, with both claiming a different couple went home, but both featuring the same pairing, only with different rivals for the dance-off. These were dismissed as 'fake' by the Strictly spoiler account but, by 1am they were yet to publish a spoiler themselves.
The key information finally appeared online just before 8.30am on Sunday. Reacting to the news, one fan said: "Wow, that's actually surprised me". Another viewer added: "I am utterly surprised". Others assumed the eliminated star, who we have chosen not to identify, would be in for weeks. This week's results show will air tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One.Win a 5-night holiday to the Turkish coast at Cook’s Club Adakoy Hotel
