The beloved Channel 4 classic remains a British favourite despite only running two seasons more than two decades ago. And bringing it back, Peter doesn't want to make a third series.
The show follows Brian Potter played by Peter, owner of The Phoenix Club; a working men's club. In his book, Peter jokes life is now intimating art, with him confessing he's becoming miserable like his character on the show. Only 12 episodes of the comedy were ever created, with the cast briefly reuniting for a stage production in aid of Comic Relief in 2015. However, that could all be set to change as Peter is keen for his much-loved creation to hit the big screen.
"The chance of a helicopter ever landing is, of course, zero," Peter continues, according to The Sun. "As the years pass, I’m becoming more like Brian, but if Phoenix Nights rose again it’d have to be for something very special, maybe a film? Perhaps Brian could get visited by three ghosts. Now, wouldn’t that be an idea?"
