Shirley Ballas appears to have sparked concern as she filmed herself in bed having been struck down by a bug. The Strictly Come Dancing judge had just jetted back from Rome where she had been preparing for an upcoming dance competition when she became ill.
"What a difference a day makes," the 63-year-old started by saying. Sounding a little croaky, she went on to explain: "So, back from Rome where it was busy. Lots of people. And then in the studio because we’re running up to the Royal Albert Hall International Championships and yes, I think I’ve caught something."
But it appears Shirley was trying to spend her unexpected downtime wisely. "But whilst I’m lying here I’m thinking to myself: ‘What’s the best air fryer to get?" she said. "So anybody out there that can help me with the best air fryer… Some dear suggested that my mum and I wouldn’t burn our bacon and our roasties as often if we had an air fryer. So help me out."
It comes after Shirley was left asking 'did I really' following a huge reaction to her outfit choice during Strictly's launch show on Saturday . Ballroom champion Shirley, who became Strictly's head judge in 2017 following the departure of the late Len Goodman, donned a bright yellow outfit with feathered sleeves, which saw viewers compare her to Sesame Street character 'Big Bird'.
