“As it travels from place to place, it gathers new musical compositions and an ongoing collection of personal responses, stories and mythologies, as well as highlighting the latest moon science,” said Jerram.Saskatoon artist Monique MartinWith more than 100 square meters of silkscreened canvas paintings, the artwork represents how the landscape and the climate are changing all around the world.
“If you want to talk to people about something that’s powerful, making it big makes people see it,” said Martin. “It creates conversation, and makes an impact. It jolts people into talking about climate change, and fossil fuels, and recycling. Even if one conversation is spurred by this … it’s worth it.”
“It’s super exciting for me to have it at home,” she said. “Most of my exhibitions occur nationally or internationally, so to have something at home makes it feel real.
