Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas has opened up on why he's decided to take part in Strictly Come Dancing this year, as the actor admitted he's keen to "get fit" again.
Adam, 35, who is also known for starring on Emmerdale as the fan-favourite character Adam Barton, is sure to shoot to the top as one of the best-liked celebrities during this year's competition. Explaining that it's "one of those shows" he's want to do "as far back" as he can remember, Adam also said he's keen to learn something new and really "test" himself, as he hopefully tones up in the process.
In a new Q&A speaking about his excitement to get moving on the BBC dance floor, the star shared all on taking part in this year's series.It’s just one of the shows I have always wanted to do for as far back as I can remember. I like to test myself and I like to learn new things. This is definitely going to be one of those shows where I will be able to do that, so here I am.Learning how to dance is definitely going to be the biggest challenge.
Do you know any of your fellow 2023 contestants? Nigel Harman, I grew up watching him and he was definitely a big inspiration of mine. I remember watching him as a kid and thinking he was a cool guy. I know Ellie Leach, she was obviously in Coronation Street and she is from Manchester, and she is like a little sister and a joy as well. Having a familiar face on the show makes it easier.Everyone. I feel like the standard is so high this year! My competition I think is Zara.
