Chicago police dispute reports 'Empire' actor investigated for staging attack

Pretty much everyone on the alt right called this as soon as it came out. Why did we get this right?

Chicago police contested media reports on Thursday that officers were investigating whether 'Empire' actor Jussie Smollett staged being physically assaulted because he was being written out of the television show.

Sure he got beat up, but it was his boyfriend instead of white guys in Chicago. What a joke, a Democratic town saying “you’re in MAGA Country”. Put down the crack pipe and walk away.

Of course, he 'staged' the attack. Chicago is NOT known for white supremacists hanging around downtown with ready-made nooses. This is bullshit. Empire
