Grimes has appeared on 47 episodes of the series as Kayce Dutton, the youngest son of Yellowstone Dutton Ranch patriarch John . Yellowstone season 5 part 1 aired from November 13, 2022 through January 1, 2023, but filming on the remaining six episodes of the season has yet to be completed.

We have not [started filming the second half of season 5] because of the writers strike. I think we would be if it weren't for that. But that takes precedence over everything. They got to get that all sorted, and then we'll be getting after it.
