Lost Soulz, the debut feature film by Katherine Propper, is set to premiere June 11th as part of the Tribeca Film Festival. While new to the world of features, Propper has garnered plenty of accolades as a director; her 2022 short film Birds won awards at SXSW and AFI Fest, among others.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Propper has detailed the beginning of her relationship with Sidle, reporting that he told her he was going to be a famous rapper. Flash-forward to Lost Soulz, and Sidle is portraying Sol, an aspiring rapper who sets off across Texas after befriending a group of gen-Z musicians.
How Lost Soulz Lets Real-Life Musicians Shine Through Their Characters If the clip above is any indication, Lost Soulz blurs the lines of reality with deep authenticity and naturalistic performances from its leading cast. Although it’s a movie about fictional musicians, Lost Soulz has filled out its cast with actors working toward careers in music in real life.
Lost Soulz will premiere on June 11th at Village East by Angelika in New York City. It will also screen June 12th and June 16th at the same theater.
