Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh has apologised for upsetting people after her comments about the royal family’s race caused a backlash on social media, according to Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.

The actress shocked viewers when sharing her thoughts on the royal family’s Buckingham Palace appearance, remarking that the balcony was “terribly white”.

“The only criteria for being on the balcony is that they’re senior members of the family who, by the way, happen to be white,” Mr Morgan said.

Complaint about ‘terribly white’ royal balcony was ‘offensive’GB News host Patrick Christys says it was “offensive” for actress Adjoa Andoh to complain on ITV about the royal balcony at the King’s coronation being “terribly white”. “We are an 85 per cent white country with a monarchy that dates back around a thousand years and shock horror, they are of course going to be white,” Mr Christys told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “And the only people who seem to have a problem with this, are, I would say, race baiters who are now making a lot of money out of being controversial. “I actually find it offensive.”
