Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh has walked back her controversial comments about the royal family’s race after considerable backlash.

“I am very struck by that. I am also looking at those younger generations and thinking: ‘What are the nuances that they will inhabit when they grow?’”

"I’m so confused by #AdjoaAndoh what did she expect to see? The Royal Family are a white family,” one user wrote. The Telegraph reported that several complaints had been made to the United Kingdom's media watchdog Ofcom specifically about her comments.
