In the city of Humble municipal elections, unofficial early voting numbers showed incumbent Charles"Andy" Curry in the lead over Eric D. Lacy for Council Member Place 1, the city’s only contested race. Harris County hadn’t yet released Election Day results as of 7:20 p.m. Saturday, May 6.

This is the second time the two have faced off against each other, with Curry winning the last election.Stay updated on important stories and news to know around Kingwood, Humble and Atascocita The position of mayor was also on the ballot this year. Current Mayor Norman Funderburk ran unopposed. He will return to office for his second term after serving seven years on city council in Place 3.

In Place 2, Mike Marshall ran unopposed and replaces appointee Mark J. Martin who served the last year., the Lake Houston area attracted 6,014 of the 17,584 early votes cast across the county. That 34.2 percent of votes featured entirely local issues with both municipal and school board elections since no statewide candidates or propositions were on the ballot this year.
