HONG Kong superstar Tony Leung claims he does not harbour any ambition to clinch an Academy Award after Malaysian actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh’s historic win, Sin Chew Daily reported. The 60-year-old said he would leave the matter to fate.

“Making a movie requires a lot of luck. I will not deliberately make any plans . If it happens, it happens,” he told reporters.

“She will get in touch every time she wins an award. However, she has yet to call this time. I have already sent a message congratulating her,” he said. He is known for his roles in movies such as Infernal Affairs and Red Cliff , and even starred as Xu Wenwu in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings .

According to Ma, the two of them would binge on Hong Kong dramas at home, especially those which Ma had acted in.When reporters said they were surprised that Tong addresses Ma as “husband”, he replied: “Sometimes I call her my wife at home as well.”
