The Hunger Games movie franchise covers a wide variety of locations and settings, which required a massive selection of real-life places to film at.

The Hunger Games movies were filmed across a variety of locales—here's every filming location, explained. The dystopian sci-fi films were adapted from Suzanne Collins' young adult trilogy, and made the effort to recreate iconic locations such as the Capitol and District 12 from the books. The four Hunger Games movies were in production from 2011 to 2014, with Catching Fire and both parts of Mockingjay filmed back-to-back.

32 Shelby, North Carolina Private warehouses in the town of Shelby were used for the Hob, which is District 12's black market. It is here where Katniss obtains the mockingjay pin from an old woman named Greasy Sae. The warehouses are also used for the Reaping Ceremony where Katniss volunteers to take Prim's place in the Games.

28 North Folk Resevoir, Black Mountain, Asheville, North Carolina This reservoir was used as a filming location for the actual Games in the first Hunger Games movie. This location served as the Cornucopia, the main location for food and supplies, such as Katniss' Hunger Games bow, in the Arena. It's also where the 74th edition of the Games properly begins; a bloodbath occurs here, instantly killing 11 of the tributes.

24 DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, Atlanta, Georgia The public airport was used as the stage for Katniss and Peeta's Victory Tour. Katniss and Peeta embark on this tour of the districts a few months after winning the 74th Hunger Games. The airport can also be spotted in the reaping of the District 6 tributes.

20 Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia This hotel was used for the tributes' living quarters in Catching Fire. An interesting feature of the hotel are the glass elevators, where Katniss and Peeta first encounter Johanna Mason, a victor from District 7 who makes a shocking first impression when she casually sheds her clothes in front of them.
