Netflix was backing the movie, which was announced in April 2022 and greenlit with a price tag well over $100 million, a source confirms to. . It’s not clear how much of the budget would’ve been devoted to designing an immaculate kitchen, a staple in theMeyers, the beloved director of “The Holiday,” “Parent Trap” and “Something’s Gotta Give,” was set to write, direct and produce the semi-autobiographical story about Hollywood exes who end up working together.

Nancy Meters is quality- everything from the actors to the houses has to e very specific. If Netflix doesn’t want it- she should shop it- I’m sure there will be takers. We need romantic comedy escapism.

If you need $130 MILLION for a romcom...it's clearly a terrible script/movie overall. Good riddance.

If Meyers needs a tight wad producer I’m available.

No rom-com needs a budget over $65m

Netflix has horrible money management

Is she shopping as a 150,000,000 rom com At peacock

130M for a rom-com .......... to pay 4 salaries .........

Its very simple to cut the bedget from $130m to $60m. It’s a Rom-Com.

It’s too bad. There are two few serious movie makers creating quality rom coms. It’s usually all those sophomoric so-called films made by men.

Why Netflix, why? We all want another Nancy Meyers' film. They are evergreen.

The internet officially has too much influence on Hollywood
