When I heard $130M for a rom-com I could hardly believe it. How much CGI were they planning to have To put things in perspective, the top grossing rom-com of all time (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) generated $241 in box office. The math doesn't work.

Streaming services who think they are movie studios will always have inflated budgets as long as they want A list stars but won't pay residuals, or give points.

Do you know what’s crazy? If you stop spending $130 million on every project and every comic, you don’t go bust *and* get this? - forces you to find/develop new and interesting content, writers, directors, etc.

Rare wins for both fiscal responsibility and common sense. A rom-com should NEVER cost $150m (even with $80m going to above the line costs).
