Mumford & Sons will headline the Sommo Music Festival July 14 and 15 in Cavendish. Facebook photoCAVENDISH, P.E.I. — British folk rock group Mumford & Sons will headline the Sommo Music Festival taking place July 14 and 15 in Cavendish.
The festival will kick off July 14 at the Sandbar Stage with performances by Andrew Waite, Dear Rouge, Crown Lands, JJ Wilde, Death From Above 1979 and Liam Corcoran. Rounding out the day will be Bell Main Stage performances by Skye Wallace, Joel Plaskett Emergency, grandson, Tegan and Sara and Lord Huron, with the evening coming to a close with a headlining performance by Grammy-nominated songstress, Maggie Rogers.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet celebrity chefs, participate in live food demonstrations, and enjoy the best of local breweries and wineries. Top Chef judge and best-selling author Gail Simmons will be joining the festival on July 15, alongside Islander Adam Loo, while Matt Moore and Ilona Daniel will be kicking off the festivities on Friday.
