AMC Movie Chain Will Charge More For Better Seats, But Not For Better MoviesThe nation’s biggest theater chain will charge less for seats close to the screen, but more for the middle of an auditorium. This comes after last year's attempt to charge more for blockbusters failed to catch on. I’m an era with so much uncertainty about going to the cinema due to endless streaming services on all our devices, a global pandemic and a serious lack of originality in regards to what is actually playing at a theatre, this is one of the stupidest ideas they could have devised. They should charge less for the seats up front but not more for the best seats. The prices are already high. I go to AMCTheatres all the time and nobody sits in those seats.
