Godzilla and the Titans will feature both old and new kaiju as it reintroduces Godzilla. The infamous creature known as the King of the Monsters first appeared in 1954 in Godzilla and has since appeared across media in a series of films that pit him against other monsters. Now often depicted as an anti-hero, Godzilla tends to defend humanity, even if his heroic actions are often incidental.
With Legendary attempting to create a Monster Universe, Godzilla is ready to face the worst monsters around, even if he doesn't have his strongest kaiju power in that universe. Yet, while Godzilla and the Titans will showcase classic monsters, it will also introduce new kaiju. In an interview with ComicBook, Godzilla and the Titans director Matt Shakman revealed some key details about Godzilla's enemies.

I used to watch those movies with my dad and I absolutely love them. And so just the chance to film scenes where there are hundreds of people running down the street trying to escape from Godzilla.
With its human stars, Godzilla and the Titans will need to solve Godzilla's biggest problem, which is its reliance on relatable human characters. Though audiences tend to prefer the monster action to the human relationships, the people provide a necessary emotional connection that gives emotional heft to the franchise between monster-on-monster brawls.
Chris Black and Matt Fraction will serve as co-creators and executive producers, and both intend to include many monsters. There are many titans that Godzilla could fight in his show, including Tiamat, Amhuluk, and Yamata no Orochi. Whichever new or classic kaiju Godzilla fights in Godzilla and the Titans, the monsters will be sure to cause chaos wherever they go.
