Marvel Studios' secretive Wonder Man series has its first details revealed by a producer. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand in the coming years through movies and Disney+ projects such as specials like Werewolf by Night, animated series and live-action shows, Wonder Man will have a part to play in the expansion. Up until now, little has been revealed about the Wonder Man show.
During an interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel Studios producer Stephen Broussard acknowledged Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton's work on Wonder Man, and disclosed the first details. According to Broussard, Wonder Man will carry a comic book influence and feel very unique compared to the MCU, focusing on serialized storytelling. Wonder Man will arrive in the MCU years after he was first teased.

It's not going to feel like anything you've quite seen in the MCU before. And the kind of stories we can tell on Disney+, which has been fun. Like streaming, serialized storytelling is a totally different muscle.
Wonder Man is likely going to play an important role in the future of the MCU, given the Marvel Studios person in charge of developing the series is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Cretton. The director is a hot commodity in the MCU right now, as he's not only developing Wonder Man, but set to direct 2025’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and, possibly, Shang-Chi 2.
After a Baron Zemo experiment, Wonder Man gained ionic powers, which gave him a wide array of abilities — such as teleportation and regenerative healing. What will make Wonder Man stand out from the other MCU series is the fact that the character is well-known for his Hollywood connection. Simon Williams is a star actor and stuntman, respected by those in his profession.
