Governor Cunliffe says explicitly, what he thinks about the whole affair; his views, widely shared, I tend2believe, do not lead to a decisive action. What forces are preventing a prompt and decisive one? Is our stability founded on throwing at people one or another virtual bone?

We need a catalyst. Enough news criticising the crypto.

Let crypto exchanges burn. They always asked for self regulation.

Shouldn't we be skeptical of a related trend across industries, turning their site/platform into a gateway to a variety of products & services to clients/users/audiences they've attracted?

Just buy Bitcoin and Litecoin and stop worrying about it. Grab yourself a wallet and be your own Layer 1. You do not need them.

Often regulations exist but they're not enforced properly. Is more regulation is the answer? Better application of existing rules and laws by the FCA and others against the big, bad actors, while relieving the burden on startups & emerging venturecapital funds would make sense.
