Call Me Kat season 3 has set the airdate for Leslie Jordan's final appearance on the show. The veteran actor, who is still remembered by many for his role Beverly Leslie in Will & Grace, starred in the Mayim Bialik-led Fox sitcom as Phil, the extremely sweet-natured head baker at Kat's Café.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As announced by TVLine, after Leslie Jordan's death, Phil will make his final Call Me Kat appearance on December 1, with the eighth episode of season 3, titled “Call Me Fancy Puffenstuff.” The episode will not see Phil die; rather, the hard-working and kind-hearted Kat's Café baker will be seen taking some time off and going away on a vacation.
Considering how Call Me Kat season 3 is handling Jordan's death on-screen, it seems that the show will not write Phil off at least until it returns from its holiday hiatus. There is no doubt that Jordan's death has left a significant void, and there is no easy way for Call Me Kat to deal with his passing.
Call Me Kat season 2 was a bubble show, and a season 4 renewal is also uncertain. However, if the show does get renewed, it will need to figure out a way to keep Jordan's fans hooked to the story. Having a member of Phil's family, like his mother Lurlene, is a heartfelt way to honor his memory, and retain the spirit of the character in the show.
