A dazzling light show with a giant blinking star hung above the stage. At one point, three scarecrows hung up on crosses were rolled out to add to the ambiance. Behind the stage, two large installations that looked like creepy clown towers overlooked the band, but weren't visible to most fans. The two teenage boys in front of me unleashed air guitar solos during “Empire,” interesting considering their languid posture when the band played the older favorite “Cherub Rock” later in the show.
